Rumors

We have been hearing rumors in the god world that other gods are thinking about software development. Just know that we were the first! We pioneered software development (in the world of gods). And their software will never be as good as Roman god-made software!

Success!

It's done! The app is finally on the Windows App Store.

Bacchus is preparing a big party!

We hope the people like the app. This is the first step.

The run-around

Microsoft is giving us gods the run-around in trying to publish this software. How dare they! I should strike them down in a storm of storms!

But, no, the other gods tell me this is not the way. We should show patience and cooperation. Not to mention if we strike them down we won't have a place to publish our software. Yes, thanks, Minerva for pointing that out. I got it!

Microsoft does not have the favor of the Roman gods at this time.

Privacy Policy

We were told we needed to supply a privacy policy to the people.

We at Jupiter Conglomerate write software as a way to give something back to the people who have supported and believed in us for thousands of years. Not that we aren't interested in our subjects...excuse me, "users", but we are gods and we are not going to use any electronic means to collect, store or distribute any of your personal information. We won't even track your location to send bolts of lightning if we think you deserve that. See, we have changed our ways.

In order to provide you the best software for free we use Microsoft Advertising. Although we tried to convince them to place ads of me (Jupiter) only they would not hear of it! So the advertisements come from Microsoft and The Conglomerate does not control the ads. That's why we had to say the software uses your internet connection.

Microsoft has their own privacy policy as well which you can find here: Microsoft Online Privacy Notice Highlights

Of course if you wish to show your loyalty to the gods you are free to make an offering. And in return, to show our good nature, we will remove the advertisements and throw in some extra features.

Thank you,
Jupiter
Chief of the Sky and the Conglomerate

Calculator 4U!

We will be delivering a calculator for the people! It is a simple start for the basic needs of the people. See, us gods aren't all that bad, right?

I have help from the other gods and I'd like to pay them a small tribute at this time in no particular order:
  • Vulcan, the smith god, has worked out the programming and the technology of this application.
  • Venus, goddess of love, and Cupid, god of love, inspired the pink background. Um, yay.
  • Minerva, goddess of wisdom, for stopping me that time from frying our computers with otherworldly lightning when I got angry. And for other insights in getting started in the right direction and for the idea of not trying to conceal who we are because even if we said we were the gods of Roman times no one will believe us anyway. But if you do, you will have our favor once more!
  • Neptune, god of the sea, who actually came up with this endeavor in the first place. This better work out, bro.
  • Copia, goddess of wealth, for handling the acquisition of all of our equipment and software to even begin this project. Where she got human currency, I will never know...nor do I want to.
  • And lastly, Juno, my wife, for making me walk away from these blasted computers when I would get angry at them and seeing us through and inspiring us all to continue!

New Software

Hello mortals, sorry, I mean "people". Some of the other gods think "mortals" is demeaning but I frankly don't understand why.

We have established a new direction amongst our band of what you knew us to be as the Roman Gods. We decided to exchange more than praise with the mor- excuse me, the "people". We will be writing software for the people to use!

This modern software technology looks to be tricky so we will explore what it has to offer and try to understand more how it is being used. So stay tuned to see what we will have to offer to you soon.
